GSPIA’s Philanthropy ForumPresents: Javier Alberto Soto, President and CEO of The Miami Foundation. He will be joined by local respondant Grant Oliphant, President and CEO, The Heinz Endowments.

Javier Alberto Soto is President and CEO of The Miami Foundation — a community foundation using civic leadership, community investment and philanthropy to improve quality of life in Greater Miami. A prominent civic and national leader in philanthropy, he will tackle the question of how philanthropy ought to address macro level issues such as climate change at a time when national policies are faltering and cities are increasingly the locus of innovation on intractable issues. He will discuss how to leverage cross-sectoral partnerships and efforts within the civic space to foster resilience in communities challenged by climate change.

A light breakfast will be served.
