Javier Alberto Soto is President and CEO of The Miami Foundation — a community foundation using civic leadership, community investment and philanthropy to improve quality of life in Greater Miami. A prominent civic and national leader in philanthropy, he will tackle the question of how philanthropy ought to address macro level issues such as climate change at a time when national policies are faltering and cities are increasingly the locus of innovation on intractable issues. He will discuss how to leverage cross-sectoral partnerships and efforts within the civic space to foster resilience in communities challenged by climate change.
A light breakfast will be served.
