    The Society provides informative and innovative programming in order to encourage a better understanding of the business, cultural, social, educational, and political practices and customs of Japan and the United States.

    JASP members gain access to business, educational, cultural, and social programs focusing on U.S.- Japan relations, which also provide opportunities for developing personal relationships with members of both the Japanese and American communities. Membership is extended to individuals, non-profit organizations, and corporations.

Key areas of support and guidance for organizations are strategic planning, capacity building, professional development, and increased visibility. Inclusant’s curricula and evidence-based recommendations derive from original research by its principal consultant, anupama jain, whose expertise areas include race and gender, community building, and diasporas. This leads to Inclusant’s commitment to recognizing that the local and the global are in constant interplay in the 21st century, shaping cultural beliefs about belonging that impact official policy and daily practice. Inclusant has consulted with Chatham University, Allegheny Conference on Community Development, The Midwife Center, Sprout Fund, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, and Rivers Casino, to name a few.

    Haitian Families First nurtures and empowers families in despair through emotional, social, and financial support, ensuring children remain with their biological families and out of unnecessary institutions.

CWB’s unique travel experiences are enriched with rigorous content, scholarly readings, renowned speakers, exhibits, arts and direct applications to classroom instruction.

    Educators return to the classroom highly motivated and energized, their intellectual and creative batteries recharged and strengthened.

    Diverse local programming supports the travel study seminars by continuing to engage educators, while extending the CWB experience to students and the community.

We offer a broad range of literary programs in a variety of community settings to encourage cross-cultural exchange.     Building New Hope is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh and Nicaragua. In Nicaragua, we partner with a worker-owned organic coffee cooperative, operate two supplemental schools for at-risk youth, and provide high school scholarships for students in need. In Pittsburgh, we engage with local schools and universities, faith groups, farmers, non-profits, community groups, and businesses to promote healthy ecosystems and to spread awareness about how fair trade relationships can help to reduce poverty and inequalities.     Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF), a Pittsburgh-based international charity, has provided over $4 billion of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, textbooks, food, seeds, and other humanitarian supplies to people around the world in 149 countries since 1958.

    In 2016, with the help of gifts from the general public and corporations, BBF sent product contributions to those in need in 59 countries and furnished supplies for 350 medical and humanitarian hand-carry mission trips.     Since inception in 2001, AJAPO has successfully implemented service coordination programs for refugees/immigrants through the provision of trainings for acculturation, life skills, leadership/conflict resolution skills, counseling, support and referrals for access to education, housing, medical, welfare benefits, and legal services.

    In addition, AJAPO provides interpretation and cultural competency services to improve relationships between clients and other service providers. Annually, AJAPO serves up to 300 people.

Idea Foundry’s global initiatives support Pittsburgh as an international innovation hub through investment and collaboration across the globe. Idea Foundry has worked with organizations such as GlobalPittsburgh and the U.S. State Department to host visitors from around the world and develop partnerships with continuing impact. They also work with organizations such as VisitPittsburgh to make Pittsburgh a more welcoming city for the international community. Additionally, Idea Foundry supports local startups which drive a positive impact, such as tackling global challenges or promoting diversity in entrepreneurship. They seek to use their knowledge of the field to strengthen Pittsburgh and foster connections the world over.

    Mexico Collaboration- Idea Foundry has launched 4 startups across Mexico by extending Idea Foundry’s expertise and guiding them through business development services.

    Russia Collaboration- Idea Foundry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate with the largest Foundation in Russia to help them on their entrepreneurship ecosystem.

    China Initiatives- Idea Foundry partnered with the VisitPittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance to increase awareness, specifically in the Chinese market, of education, tourism, business, and investment in the Pittsburgh and PA region.
